Top & Tail Video

With video becoming increasingly shared and viewed through social channels, it is important that branding is a key element within your content. A Creative Alliance worked with BioCanRX, a biotherapeutics cancer research organization, to produce a branded top tail video. This helped to solidify the BioCanRx brand throughout their online content.
Translating data into information that can easily be shared is a challenge for many companies. Whether this data is an annual report, research summary, or simply financial statements to your investors, it is important that the information be shared easily and quickly. Data can be brought to life through after effects video. Here, Jesse Lozaway features some of his work in a corporate reel.

With digital video setting to overtake network television by 2020 producing shareable infomercials and motion graphics announcing a new product line or service will become even more of an asset than it is now. Here PIJAC Canada used this commercial to launch their new online training program. The English and French version of this video is linked to their website and is played on their trade show booth display screen.
One way of easily demonstrating large amounts of complex data is through infographics. This visual representation of data is easily understood and can be shared to your target audiences. Check out this example of how we communicated information on the launch of Boeing’s Super Hornet Jet.
LOGO & CORPORATE IDENTITY
Creating a brand that reflects what your organization is all about is a key piece of starting and marketing your business. In this project, our designer Erin Graham, created a logo for the 'Employee Policy Innovation Committee' for the federal government. They were looking for a graphic that represented their committee. EPIC is a team of employees who get together and all contribute innovative new ideas for programs and policy. Each dot in the graphic represents an individual and the big circle is their bright ideas all being combined together.

Here Jim Keay Lincoln needed a full page ad for dipolmat magazine. This one of 3 ads that we designed for them.
Our dynamic duo, also known as Smart Defaults, took on this research project by the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. MindMed is a mindfulness and wellness online training program for medical students that introduces self-care practices and skills to improve doctor-patient relationships. The research team approached Smart Defaults to help design and build a system that could allow users to progress through the training and stay engaged and motivated. Utilizing the Open Source CMS WordPress, we designed and built a clean, minimal interface that provide clear visual affordances for user progress and status. Features of the site included: time based modules that released on specific days, surveys, interactive charts that visualizes the user's progress through the program and a simplified backend to manage content and users. The site is currently in pilot use with over 20 participants with the intention to release this as a learning tool for all medical students across Canada.
Website Design & Development
Patrick Villemaire, an ACA Creative Partner, produced the design strategy, workflow and developed the website into what it is today. Its launch featured easy access to upcoming events, an interactive business directory, as well as a social feed to keep members informed of the latest news.
Due to the increasing use of technologies such as mobile phones and tablets, it has become critical for organizations adapt to a “mobile-first” design for their website that facilitates better user experience. Here, Dave Bagler, helped the City of Ottawa to further develop their site to be a more responsive design. In addition to this he added advanced accessibility features and integrated multiple third party tools and web applications to help improve the site.

Social Media Content & Promotion
Event promotion and coverage on social media is a great way to promote your event. Not only can we inform your key demographic but also generate new interest. Good design, promotion and coverage on social media lend credence to your event, organization, efforts.
Here you'll find our promo work for Capital Velo Fest a local NFP in Ottawa. We created an animated logo, social media promo campaign and other shareable content.
Multi Channel Service
For PIJAC Canada, Andrew provided a wide range of services. He first populated their social media channels, provided rich content and a strategy to grow their audience. He created branded promotional products, print collateral, signage, web content, mobile app skinning, Youtube videos, and event coverage. When you start to build your content library with ACA you are able to create a wealth of assets that can be re-purposed easily for multiple events.
ING Robotic Aviation was in need of some marketing strategy as the company transitioned from the military to commercial sector. Ashley worked to develop a number of national social marketing campaigns that helped to rebrand the organization. She implemented and executed a corporate social media strategy and designed email marketing campaigns around the corporations products and services. She also worked alongside the organization's sales team to create targeted social advertising that drove better traffic to the website. Overall, the media attention from this project was very successful with stories being shared in the national Wall Street Journal and Financial Post as well as smaller publications such as the Ottawa Business Journal.
